Do you often wonder sometimes that life is being unfair to you? We all know, the stuff on which we are crying about may not be available for everyone however we sometimes unknowingly judge our life on the basis of things we want and unable to get them. Do you agree??  If yes then today's post is for you, enjoy reading.

Hello my name is Dhwani and welcome or welcome back to "The Libra Style " In case you are new here, it is a blog wherein I post fashion beauty and lifestyle related content. So in today's blog post we are going to discuss about a book which i recently finished reading. I was a bibliophile back in the day. Somehow I skipped reading and I am glad to be back on track now. Having said that I have decided to read at-least one book a month. If I really like the book then i would definitely drop a blog post of book review!

Let's begin with today's blog post.

Educated is a memoir by Tara Westover. It's a story of a girl, youngest among 7 siblings living in Idaho. Tara grown up with her survivalist parent who don't believe in public school, doctors or governments meaning Tara didn't had her Birth certificate or any medical report which proves her existence. So According to government she doesn't exist. She works at home helping her father at junkyard and  helping her mother with food or herbal medicines. In her Childhood, she has only read books on Mormonism, church letter or children's science fiction. Her exposure to ideas on different things were limited to her father's ideas and opinions until she went to college. Yes college, the girl who didn't had her birth certificate went to the college at BYU through CAT with the help of home schooling. And thereafter got her PHD degree from Cambridge. Surprised?? So I was and that's why I picked up this book. Growing up her brother Shawn became abusive and aggressive. He put her Head in the toilet, nearly broken her wrist and threaten her to kill more than once. It was not just her, Shawn used to behave same with her sisters and brothers and women's he dated. When she finally confronted her parents after years they refuse to believe and told her that she is possessed by negative energy making her feel like she was the problem. Most of the times she feel like she should have believe her parents and make peace however she has her journal entries which contradicts to her parents saying.

There are multiple car crashes, serious head injuries, fire explosion and accidents in the junkyard. Many of these injuries were life threatening and are treated at home with her mother herbal medicines as a lack of faith in doctors. There were other few incidents where her father make her believe that good girl never wear well fitted clothes or that anything you wear should not be above ankle.

At the end she finally connect with her few siblings who believe her. It's an inspiring journey of Westover getting educated. I was fascinated by the way she took the control of her education.

If you want to know how Tara dealt with everything, which siblings connected with her, how she managed to get a PHD Degree along with all the odds then please pick up this book. A must Read!!
